I was going through my old files and found a few of Roger's birth. One of my favorite moments of motherhood is when my newborn child looks into my face for the first time. They have this "knowing" look, which is hard to describe. It's almost like he's finally able to see the face that goes with the voice he knows so well. This is when I first feel the bonding of motherhood the strongest.
