Two days after we returned from Brazil we took our kids to the Monte L. Bean Museum at BYU. Sam ha a friend from high school who is in charge of the education part of the museum. We set up an appointment with her, along with our friend's family, to see some of the live animals (aka reptiles and amphibians). Brooke could hardly contain herself. She couldn't wait to see the snake. I am not even exaggerating. My daughter loves reptiles as much as I do, maybe even more. She is so much like me in so many ways.
First they brought out the frog (or maybe it was a toad). The kids were able to pet its bumpy back. Next they got to see the turtle. After the turtle they brought out the tarantula. My kids loved holding and petting it. Even Sam held the hairy thing. Spiders is where I draw the line. I love reptiles and amphibians, but I do not like bugs or insects at all!
They then brought out the large lizard, and lastly, the python. My kids had so much fun. Their cousin Castin was there, too. He's only a toddler, but he was so excited to see all the creepy things.
