We're moving. . .
We just found out yesterday that Sam was accepted by the military to seek a civilian-sponsored fellowship in otology (ear surgery). We are so excited for him. This has been his goal for quite a while. That also means that it will cut our time here in the UK short a year. Sam will be flying to the US in April to take the boards, and will hopefully interview at different programs across the country. Some of the places he would like to interview at are: Ohio State, Vanderbilt (Nashville, TN), Los Angeles, Iowa, and Boston.
I was hoping we would at least stay the three years, but the Air Force is in need of a new otologist by 2013, when he will finish the fellowship. So we will be leaving the UK June of 2011, do fellowship for two years (somewhere), and then most likely settle in San Antonio, TX to finish out his commitment to the US Air Force.

You are welcome in San Antonio anytime! We have many airforce and army medical friends here, if we can be of any help at all just let us know.
So excited for you guys...still waiting to hear the final about Japan.. WE should know by this week. If not Japan then we are going to Ft. Campbell which was our first choice stateside. Can't wait to hear where you guys will be. Miss you guys!
That is exciting for you guys! glad you got to experience Europe for a couple of years. Will you end up staying in until retirement with all this added committment? I think that is our plan. Glad you are doing well!
Tami and I vote Vanderbilt...just over an hour away from where we live. With you getting cut short a year we probably won't make it to see you in England...oh well. Tell Sam hello for me, Mike Oleson.
