Okay, I didn't touch up this picture (well, I did adjust the lighting), but my finger really did turn this color! I have been having problems with my fingers. Sometimes they go numb. In fact, they always go numb. In this picture my finger stayed numb for over 20 minutes before color returned. I ran it under warm water, I rubbed it, etc. . . but the feeling wouldn't come back. It's kind of scary. I had an
EMG done, but the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. This is the reason why I have a hard time playing my instruments. I start playing, and my fingers go numb. It's very frustrating. It does kind of remind me of ET, though, except, of course it's my ring finger. (Also notice I don't wear my wedding ring--not because I don't want to (I DO!), but because of this numbness problem). Next time it happens, maybe I'll go to a dark room and see if it glows in the dark!

Dan here, looks like Raynaud's phenomenon to me. Sam, you should have her worked up for CREST syndrome... Dana, I'm sorry you're dealing with this! We miss the NW and all our friends there!
Dana, I am so sad that your fingers are being cheeky and aren't letting you play. Did I dream that you played the banjo and sang about blueberries at the ward talent show? Whatever you did, I remember that it was very cool. Anyway, good for you for finding humor in challenge.
And thanks for tagging me. Typical of a perfectionist writer, I'm still letting the ideas percolate.
As for your list of seven, here's to all women who hate malls and shopping for clothes!
Dan, I think you're right about the diagnosis. After reading up on it, the symptoms described are consistent with mine. When I told Sam about what you said, he replied that he suspected it when he saw the picture, but didn't say anything. Maybe he's in denial! Thanks. I'm going to make an appointment asap.
So much for having a wood shop some day. One of the treatments is to avoid machinery that vibrates. That would include woodworking saws. Bummer. Double bummer, I guess I won't put in for Alaska!
wow, it's nice to see that in the midst of your termoil you haven't lost your sence of humor:)
hope your et finger get better!
Dana, I'm sorry you're going through such a crazy thing. Hang in there!
OK Dana! I'm sorry but that is a bit freaky...now I understand what you were talking about on Sunday. I hope there is something you can do for it...to make it all better!
