Halloween Costume Contest Winner

Every year we go to Madigan for their annual Halloween Costume Parade and Contest. The kids are always excited to go and show off their costumes. Well, this year Roger tied for 1st place with his costume. We had originally purchased a knight costume for him, but just before we left for Madigan, I thought that it would be really cute to see him in his kilt with the little sporen that Grandma and Grandpa Spear (aka Soupy and Nana) bought for Stuart when he was Roger's age. Roger wore his daddy's glengarry hat, which was a little big on him. He looked so adorable, and it probably helped that he flirted with some of the judges. We were happy to have at least one of our kids win, since this is our last year participating in the costume parade. We saw some little kid-size bagpipes when we were in Seattle a couple of days ago, and we should have bought them. There would have been no tie for first place then. . .

Roger looks adorable in that kilt. Congrats to him! I noticed you said "the last time" a couple of times in these postings...I'm glad you're taking advantage of your last year there - we miss it SO much! But we have great memories of all the wonderful things we did...I'm sure you will too.
