I've finally been tagged! I was wondering when the inevitable would happen. I was tagged by a good friend, and since I still want to remain a good friend, I guess I'll pass this on. Here are a few random things about me:
1) I love reptiles and amphibians (as long as they are not poisonous). I used to love to scare my mom with the creatures I used to catch. It was pretty mean of me then (sorry mom!), since she is completely the opposite. I used to have pet newts and frogs when I was younger. When Porky my newt died (I was in 4th grade), I screamed and cried, and had a funeral for him. I was devastated. Then, two weeks later, I wanted to check up on him (I've always been curious), so I dug him up to see what he looked like. My nickname at girl scout camp was "froggie." Lame, I know.
2) I hate bugs, and am terrified of them. Especially spiders and anything that stings (bees, wasps) I used to be deathly scared of worms after the neighbor boy put worms in my hair and they fell down my shirt and stuck to my back. I got over that fear when I learned how to fish. I still don't like them, though. But the fish sure do!
3) I was a tomboy most of my life, and still am once in a while. I guess it's hard to avoid, since I have 5 brothers and no sisters. I hated wearing dresses, and still do. In kindergarten my mom made me 5 new dresses and I refused to wear them. She never sewed again. I don't know how I ever survived a mission. I avoid optional meetings where a dress is required, and change into pants as soon as I'm home from church. I hate panty hose even more. I never even heard of "Bath and Bodyworks" until I went on my mission and lived with girls!
4) I love to travel. I love learning about new cultures. I wish I spoke a dozen languages, but only speak 2. I love people. I get very animated and charged up when I am around my friend, and I know I can be obnoxious and loud. After all, I am a Rogers (all my family is like that).
5) I'm a recovering musician. I used to sing and play instruments in bands and choirs, and even got to perform in Europe a couple of times, but due to health reasons, I a no longer able to sing, and can only play my instruments a few minutes at a time.
6) I hate shopping for clothes; I hate malls. I love shopping for tools and craft stuff. I have this secret desire to work with wood someday and to have a big area in my garage to fit a table saw, miter saw, scroll saw, etc. . . I hate paper crafts, but love polymer clay (3d crafting). I have tons of polymer clay and tools. I just don't have a lot of time to work with it. And, as most of you know, I am a digital geek. I love all things digital, especially digital scrapbooking.
7) I have a strong testimony of Jesus Christ, the Plan of Salvation, and the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. I know I am relatively "young," but I have had many friends and loved ones who have passed away, and I have always felt comforted in the knowledge that we will see our loved ones again. After all, why would a loving Father in Heaven place us in families, only for it to end after death? I am genuinely happy and content with where I am in life. I have a wonderful husband and three great kids. What more could I want?

Dana, this is Julina Sousley, from Savior Of The World. I saw your name and picture on Celeste's blog, and I said "Hey I know that girl" so I thought I would contact you. I see you had a baby, so did I, our first. Check out my blog to see his picture.
It's fun to learn something new about you...it's funny to think we know someone so well & then these kind of things allow us to find out even more :) What is preventing you from singing??? THAT makes ME sad - you have a gorgeous voice. Scary photo of your finger...be careful!
