Roger at the Hospital

All these pictures were taken during his 2nd dose. Thank goodness he didn't have to be hooked to the IV stand the whole time! We tried to make the ordeal fun. As you can see, he did a lot of different activities during the treatment. Roger wanted to ride the tricycles, cars, etc, but it was difficult following him around with the IV stand. He kept going through the playground, and would get frustrated because his stand wouldn't fit. It was quite the struggle. Later on some lady stopped me in the hallway because she had watched the ordeal with her daughter from the window above. She got a kick out of watching Roger trying to fit through the various passageways of the playground.
Here is Roger watching Toy Story
Roger was given the cutest blanket that was donated to the hospital.

HI Roger...It's me...your Great Aunt Veronica Dixie Rogers Bailey...sometimes called "Ronny" never Dixie anymore..now Veronica or Vee (my email sign off)...I'm so proud of you Roger...altho we haven't met...you met my daughter, Carol Wynne (twice)...you surely have that Rogers' look...and imagine Spears, too...and your mom's eyes.
What a brave boy you are, Roger...and you look older than 3 years old...I hope these treatments don't bore you ..if they do..just close your eyes when those feelings come over you and think of how strong you are getting so you can play, run, jump, fly a kite, maybe even have a puppy....
I'll be checking in on your Spears blog to see how you're doing...know you must be getting excited...maybe even confused about moving all the way across the Atlantic Ocean to England...wish I could..G-d Bless you and keep you Roger...hope to meet you someday.
Love,
Aunt Vee

Hi Dana, I haven't stopped by your blog for a while and didn't realize quite how much you have been through lately. I'm glad Roger is responding well to treatment and that you know what he has been struggling with. Poor little guy. I hope both of you are feeling better soon. Call me if I can do anything to help.
