Yesterday we went to a ward activity/4th of July celebration/fund raiser for the youth. Our ward is primarily American military. An American flag was draped over the serving table, and a nice little home-made sign, that said, "No hard feelings," hung across it. Sam played his pipes, which was a hit. As soon as he started playing, all the children marched right behind him. It reminded me of the "Pied Piper of Hamlin."

I was actually thinking about you yesterday and wondering, what does an American do in the UK on the Fourth of July? I wondered - are there no hard feelings, or could it be a little awkward?
hope you had a good day!
