Well, here are a few of the things I have made since then:

Knitting my first scarf (Bergen, Norway). Result below:
My first scarf above.
This is the second scarf I made. It took me from Normandy to Calais to figure out how to knit the first two rows with this pompom wool (probably about 4-5 hours), then a couple more weeks to finish it.
My first fingerless gloves (I did make two). These fit nicely over my bandages after my hand surgery in January.
I sort of designed the top of the hat. I didn't want to make a pompom, so I crocheted a little tie to gather the top.
This is my latest project: Baby cocoons for newborns. I finished the first one yesterday, and started on another one. I have a baby shower for two babies this weekend. Hopefully I can get the second one finished.
Okay, I know you're impressed, but I didn't knit this Nativity. My dear friend Sheena MacPhee knit this for us for Christmas. I have the pattern, and now I just need her guidance to make it.
I have also started knitting a bear, but am learning that sewing and stuffing toys can take a lot of PATIENCE. I am going to have to do some revision on it, and perhaps Sheena's help.

Just taught myself to knit on you tube. That popcorn yarn looks tricky. I am very impressed!
Dana, I love the set for Brooke and I love Love LOVE! the nativity. It would be worth it to learn to knit just to make that! I have actually been thinking about learning to knit lately, and you've inspired me.
Love, Mary
Mary, Maybe I can show you how this summer! I find knitting very therapeutic. It's totally addicting.
